I have a 2001 Honda Civic with 120,000 miles on it. Last week it was getting hot when I would come to a stop. so when I got home I let it cool down and checked the radiator and it was low on fluid. So I filled it with 50/50 and filled the resavoir as well. Today 1 week later it has done this again. so I checked it again and it was low. Took it to the little garage we use and the guy could not find any leaks whatsoever. And the oil is clean as well as the coolant in the radiator. He did a pressure check and it did lose some pressure but not alot and not fast. What could be causing this? Thank You so much.

Could be the heater core or it's going into cyl(s) at such a small rate that it not showing steam. Have your mech or yourself pull plugs and check them for white ish deposits. Then while plugs out pressure test radiator for bout 30 min. Then crank over and watch for water vapor from plug holes . If all ok ,loop or block off heater hoses and pressure test again. Larger shops can dye check and inspect eng with black light. Or they can check for combustion gases with a special fluid and tester. Your going to do same but the low tec way. LIFE'S SHORT GO FISH
