I have a 1986 F150 with a 302 EFI with duel tanks, while driving it down the highway the truck quit and now wont start. It will roll over but no start, when I turn the key I dont hear the fuel pump kick in. I checked the wire to the High Pres. pump (on the frame) and I only have 0.01 volts. Can anyone help me to figure out the problem, not even sure where to look; I tried reseting the fule pump shut-off switch, but that never worked. I have lots of power to the solinoid. Help me if you can please/

Hmmm? Doesn't this have a fuel pump in each tank? Can't you just switch to the other one for now. Not sure but it may share just one fuel filter, T

Could be and probably is me but I think each tank has its own pump and no other involved or shared. No matter - you are reading nothing for voltage and just in general for Fords of the 80s and 90s relays are common to just up and quit like that. I just plain admit I don't know the trucks that well. Relay for fuel pump(s) is likely underhood and has a green connector if that helps and it's probably not marked otherwise. Sometimes in a jam you can just whack them with the plastic of a screwdriver and they snap to till you get another one if that trick works, T

The dual tanks do have separate pumps in the tanks themselves. They share one fuel filter. My front tank pump stopped working ( all evidence points to the pump) and I simply switched to the back tank for all use. I have filled the front tank and used it as spare; only problem is I have to siphon to transfer from tank to tank. Would fix the front pump except need to drop tank to get at pump.
