I have 1990 nissan 300zx and the clutch sticks to the floor when i start it but wont come back or aloow me to go into gear.

Guess: This may (pretty sure) have a hydraulic clutch linkage with a master cylinder. Likage to that from the pedal or that alone could be the problem. The description of not responding or able to shift seems like the pedal is just for show at the moment and not moving the clutch at all. You may find the reservoir for the clutch empty of fluid (usually DOT 3 brake fluid) and if so chase down it and lines to the slave cylinder which could be leaking also. Most still allow the pedal to come up even with a total blow out so more to check, T
