olds intrigue frustration Sign In

i'm working on a 1999 oldsmobile intrigue with a 3.5 v6 it has 55675 origanal miles on it. i have replaced the following; spark plugs, air filter, pvc valve, fuel filter, and a bottle of injector cleaner. it is not and never has thrown a code. the owner said the car was running fine all day, then while pulling a long hill it started missing (chugging) and loosing power. once they topped the hill it ran decent the rest of the way home. so i was told it hasn't had a tune up since they owned the car. i drove the car and it seemed ok. i tuned it up and it seemed to run great. i have been driving it for a couple days and then tonight pulling a small hill it started missing and loosing power. when i'd let up a little it would run a little better but slow down. once i got it home, and parked, it misses when accelerated hard. to a point of almost stalling. i hope i gave enough information. thanks

Got an enhanced scan tool or Tech 2? Need to look at the misfire counters and see which cylinder(s) is acting up. Might give you some direction. Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to watch O2 voltage at wide open throttle and see if it is leaning out.
