Fuel pumps don't like running dry and it may have seized. Have someone crank the engine while you bang on the fuel tank with a rubber hammer. If it starts, you need a new fuel pump. Other than that, perform normal fuel pressure and spark tests. Let us know what you find. DanD can post any amount of in-depth technical info.

Patrice; Fuel injection does not like air. You must get a full flow of fuel to the engine. You may have sucked up a lot of "debris" from the bottom of the fuel tank as you ran out of fuel. I would recommend replacing the fuel filter, first. Then, each time you turn your key on (assuming the pump is still working) the pump will run for a few seconds. By turning the key on for a few seconds, off, then back on, off, back on, ect. will each time force fuel towards the engine. After a few key on, key off, cycles the engine should start. Your fuel pump is mounted inside the fuel tank. The pump depends on fuel to keep it cool. A lack of fuel will burn up a pump. So, for the future, do not let your fuel level drop below 1/8 tank. I never let mine drop below 1/4. Another reason for doing this is build up of condensation. The more air space in the tank, the more condensation (water) will be made. So, the more fuel kept in the tank, the better. Good luck. Loren SW Washington
