My 94 jimmy has been over heating, it hasn't boiled over yet but the gauge is off the chart and blinking. I changed the thermostat but it still is getting to hot. Could it just be a sensor?

Could be a weak fan clutch. If it says you are running hot you probably are. A test would be run the heat (arggh) and if it doesn't put out heat you are boiling and bubbling coolant won't make much heat. Odd but true. Likely causes.... Just some that come to mind, T-Stat but old and new do the same so not likely. Fan clutch not pulling air thru hard enough. If electric they should be on. Low coolant level. check again. Bad radiator either from inside or out. ________________________________________ Pay attention to this as it's not good for your engine. If the sending unit was bad it would probably read hot when you know it's cold, T
