petrol in deisel car help Sign In

I HAVE PUT £12 (ABOUT 9LT) OF PETROL IN DIESEL CAR. I TOPPED UP STRAIGHT AWAY WITH DIESEL (£57 -ABOUT 40LT) I HAVE DRIVEN 8 MILES AND ALL OKAY. SHOULD I LEAVE IT OR DRAIN IT ALL. HELP

Because i have spoken to two local mechanics. One said to drain everything off and fill with diesel again. The other said given the ratio of petrol to diesel it will be okay.

9 liters vs what capacity? Still if mine I'd drain it all to be on the safe side. You've already driven it so if damage happened at best you could minimize it - hard to say,
