Is there available a replacement mast for a power antenna system? My 1988 Olds Delta 88 antenna motor is not working properly, may need entire new motor and antenna assembly. It may just require a new antenna with gears - I saw one for other cars at Advance Auto, but not for Olds. My guess is a new motor and antenna is what is needed, but maybe just replacing the mast and gears might work. The motor runs all the time even when key is turned off; I removed the fuse. Now I have no radio, cigarette (whoops cigar ) lighter, or chime.

The only solution I have figured - replace the antenna and motor. Bought one from Advance Auto. Only problem is I need to take the front wheel off, remove some body panels etc. I think I can merely change connections and get going. A broken windshield and my goof at getting my checking account blow zero got in the way of working on the antenna!

Even to disconnect the wires to the motor and use a magnetic antenna I think I need to open up the body. After the antenna work, then I face possible headliner replacement and paint job. Then again, maybe sell my car and truck and get a skooter!
