I have a 1994 astro van. i have changed the fuel pump and fuel filter, still getting pressure but the fuel is not reaching the throttle body. tried using starting fluid and the van started then it died. if it is a fuel relay switch on the throttle body then where is it

There are quite a few reasons for
fuel is not reaching the throttle body Injectors, fuse(s), wire connections, wiring harness, sensors, modules, or the ECM (computer); all of which need to be tested, to find out who or what isn’t doing there job? Testing these items takes some equipment and a good working knowledge of how the system is intended to function. So if you don’t have a scan tool (not a code reader), a multi-meter, noide light or a test light; get them and we’ll try walking you through some of the tests. Sorry to sound so abrupt but I would hate to see you throw more money away, (like you did on the fuel pump) by telling you too try this or that. By the time you’re done buying/borrowing the equipment; learning how to use the equipment properly and then figuring out what an injector pulse is; you’d be money ahead taking the van in and having it diagnosed. You can always bring it back home and do the repairs yourself; after you know what it is? Dan. Canadian "EH"

Look in the fuse panel for fuses marked ECM A and ECM B. These need to be good to allow the van to run. Use a test light(real cheap at parts store) and be sure it lights up when touched to both sides of the fuse. Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds

way2old... thank you soo very much for your advice! My boyfriend went out and pulled both of those fuses. Niether were working. He changed them both and after he juiced up the battery, it started right up! I even called him at the auto-parts store to stop him from buying the fix-it book just in case... your advice saved us money! thanks again. by the way, my boyfriend said that you must be a mechanic god!

Appreciate the kind words. The fuses may blow again, and if they do, you need to trace down the reason. Keep us informed and for Dave and Jim---I will try to keep my head the same size. Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds

way2old, I will keep that in mind... i'm trying to convince him to trade the thing in for a smaller, more gas-efficent car... maybe you could use your powers and help me.... but if i'm stuck with it, i will definately keep an eye out for those fuses blowing again. Thank you !
