rear axle Sign In

Hi, i have a Ford Escort 1.8 Diesel estate(1995) mileage 120,000 runs very well. I live in the UK but i have a place in France and registered the car over there 6 years ago. The MOT test equivalent is every 2 years and it just failed the test on something a little perplexing, the wording Sub Heading;PNEUMATIQUE, "structures and/or
categories d`utilisation differentes sur l`essuie A/R"
i had one guy mail me this advice "
Hi mister Bee,

By the look of it, your tyres aren't matching on the rear axle. It's not even that simple, because they have to be homologated sizes, speed rating and load rating. I would suggest that if the front axle passed scrutiny, that you look for the differences.

Regards, Eddie." I got to admit i am a little bit lost on this one, there are some figures that came with the test indicating that the front axle figures are much higher than the rear axle..basically does anyone think it is a tyre issue or something a bit more sinister? thanks for your time.

Re: rear axle Sign In

Are they the correct tires for the vehicle? Are they evenly worn?

Ils sont préoccupés par les pneumatiques ayant une autre catégorie ou de la qualification. Soyez sûr que votre pas de mélange des types de pneus comme un pneu de tourisme et un pneu neige.
