2000 chevy blazer 4.3 motor. had to have engine rebuilt, mech found a screw lost (by a differnet mech.) from my dist.cap during tuneup. it was inbeded in piston of #5 cylinder.new guy also thinks said screw caused a leak in my fuel injector unit is this possible? if so i'm going back to first mech. to see what i can get to recover cost on rebuild.

Unless this is TBI, I can't figure how that screw could end up on top of the piston. If it is TBI, I suppose it's possible that it could have worked it's way through the intake, through an open valve, then to the cylinder? Is there any way you can post a picture? And, as I remember, weren't those screws alluminum? Maybe, not. Loren SW Washington
