renault scenic 02

Hi all , can anyone help .
My 02 megane scenic is making heavy knocking noises on aceleration and going over bumps and uneven surfaces . It appears to be coming from the rear drivers side wheel arch location ,though not 100% sure . could it be shock absorber or suspension . The rear side of the vechicle does not appear to have dropped visually .Any advice please........ Les

You need to check everything that moves there. The shock/strut,bushings, sway bar if equipped and all the parts that hold the wheel in place,
