1999 Gmc Savana, rwd, 5.7 (I think) v8 After a winter storage (mice? wires?) I have a speedometer problem. The car starts fine and the spedo is zero when the van is not moving. When I start driving, the spedo just kind of goes crazy. It can peg and then drop back to some low indication. The engine sometimes needs a pump of gas to keep running and it seems I'm on the edge of a stall. Any ideas?

Probably an issue with the dash cluster. Might check for any water leaks from places like the windshield or door seals. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
