My 2009 chevy hhr 2.2 liter. steering wheel slid into dash after minor crash and air bag exploded. My bright switch is on the steering column which is stuck on which drains my battery after i park, how do I pull it back out to the normal position?

Wow, if the steering wheel dropped down like that, that probable means the steering column collapsed. Once they collapse like that you have to replace the entire steering column.
Driver Safety The steering wheel and column has safety features to protect the driver. The following components may be mounted on or near the steering column:Energy-Absorbing Steering Column - The energy-absorbing steering column compresses in the event of a front-end collision, which reduces the chance of injury to the driver. The energy-absorbing feature, collapsible steering shaft, and break away mounting features help reduce the injury in the event of an accident. In addition to these features, the following driver safety features may be on the steering column. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

Airbags don't blow on a minor fender bender. You definately need a column and probably a dead battery is the least of your troubles. I hate airbags. They make me spill my beer.
