strut rubbing on tires Sign In

I have a 200 toyota camry. I've noticed smooth wear marks on the back side of both my rear tires. I also seen the struts were the possible casue of this. how do i adjust them or whatever i need to do. thanks

Are these original equipment sized tires and wheels? Any adjustment to camber wouldn't be enough. That would be with an alignment machine because if you just tried that by eye it would be so far off the tires would wear improperly.

If unsure about the tire size it should be listed in owner's manual, sticker on door jam or maybe in the glove box,

the tires are not the orginals but are the same size 65R15. I did have them rotated though about 3,000 miles ago. could that have been part of the problem, though i didnt notice the rubs until i went to Sears for an oil change.

Rotating your tires shouldn't have caused this. Doesn't matter if it was Sears or another place. What counts is the tires and wheels belong on that car.

This could be solved by having an alignment and tell them what you have noticed,
