surburban not starting?

what would make a 99 chevy surburban not start it started like dragging when u went to start it. now it died it wont start it dont click it dont make any noise it says nothing. the radio, headlights everything in car comes on but it wont start. replaced starter that wasnt problem, tried jumping the battery that wasnt problem, what else could it be? or any idea where to start? someone suggested ignition switch but dont know how to test that.

Susan; The very first place to start would be the battery cables. These are the side mount type and can be corroded between the cable and the battery and you'll never be able to see it. Remove the bolt from the negative cable first, then the postive. Take the bolts out of the cables and clean the eyelets of both cables and the bolts, themselves. Clean any corrosion from the battery terminals, as well. A solution of baking soda and water works very well, as well as emery cloth. Have the battery charged, if needed, and tested. If still no joy, we can go from there. Loren SW Washington
