Which bulb you got back there? Should be a 3157. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

Which socket is melted? Is this actually getting hot enough to melt the tail lamp lens? Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

So the stock lens is fine? Just the aftermarket ones are cooking? Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

Please only post your problem in one category. I deleted the other one. It confuses people and gives advice in two different areas of the site.

Probably wouldn't hurt to contact the tech support of the company that made those lens. Maybe there is some sort of procedure or modification that has to be done, so the lens don't get damaged. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
