door ajar light stays on while driving, also interior lights lights come on when I stop at a light or stop sign. Lights also stay on when I get out of vehicle on the inside of vehicle as well as along the board runners. They stayed on today for over three hours. The only way to get them off was to take out the fuse. When I read the description for the fuse I took out, it said this:

Rear Wipers, Running Board

Lamps, Battery Saver Relay,

Interior Lamp Relay, Accessory

Delay Relay (Power Windows,

Moonroof, Flip Windows, Audio),

Homelink

My question is, what is the BATTERY SAVER RELAY, and can the vehicle get messed up by taking out this fuse? And what is the ACCESSORY DELAY RELAY? All I took out was a single fuse, not the actual relay boxes. What does this do though? And should I put the fuse back in just to be safe? Or am I ok?

The switches that control the lights for open doors are made right into the door latches and they have a history of sticking and causing problems like that.

Here is a technique that often works well and eliminates the problem at no cost.

Get a can of spray lube like WD40 or something like it and has a straw on the nozzel. Spray it generously up into the latch mechanism. Now open and close the door numerous times to work it in. Repeat this process several times. Since you don't really know which door is causing the problem, you should do all of them. It's usually caused by the most frequently used door but it's not guaranteed to be that one.
