Hey I'm not a transmision wiz by no means, but i do know on these that the TCM,Transmission control module can be reprogrammed for stuff like this.It will stay in 2nd gear. Try having a trans shop reprogram the TCM,see if that cures the problem Jim

Check the input and output speed sensors on the transmission. I think your year has them. Will try to check at the shop tomorrow. Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds

Your vehicle does have the speed sensors on the transaxle. One of them is bad. We usually replace both to keep from having to do it again. They are relatively inexpensive also. Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds
