very rapid left turn signal 04 Suburban

Today, out of the blue the left turn signal on my 2004 Suburban starting flashing at least twice as fast as it used to. I have checked the bulbs and they appear to be ok. Could it be the flasher going bad?

No, not a flasher if only happening on one side. You have a bulb out somewhere. Look again and compare with the other side., there is one not working somewhere.
