window slack/sloppiness? Sign In

2002 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V
87,000 miles

the drivers side window seems to have slop in either the track or regulator. When you first lower or raise the window there is like a slap noise. my guess is there is something worn out and the regulator is slamming against the glass.

anyone know what i need to replaced, ive replaced the i guess their called guide bushings in an old school roll up window before.

It's a cable type regulator with a solid attachment to the window glass. You could be looking at a bad regulator or maybe one of the retaining rivets came loose or something like that. Your going to have to remove the door panel to see what's up in there.

yea actually dumb on my part, i looked up the respective parts on rockauto.com and saw what your talking about and realized it wouldnt just be a plastic bushing or insert. alright, off comes the door panel and ill have someone work the window while i probe for the culprit.
