04 Jeep no heat Sign In

I have an 04 Jeep wrangler 4.0l just replaced radiator, water pump, water neck, thermostat, and heater core due to leaks in core, rad and water pump. Had good heat before the failures but now lukewarm at best and room temp or less at high fan speed. Both heater hoses are hot and engine holding steady temp according to dash a little under 210. Also seems to be no air left in system. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Could you have reversed the heater hoses when you put it back together?

What was the condition of the coolant you took out?

Are BOTH hoses hot to the touch or just one?

Hoses are the same way they came off and small hose doesn't fit where the bigger one should go.

Coolant was probably original and was the cause for the leak on the core seemed to have turned to acid and ate away at the core lines.

Both hoses are same temperature and at full operating temp too hot to hold on to.

If both hose are hot to the touch, then you have good circulation and the issue has to be in the air blend door in the dash. Jeeps are notorious for that. Most of the time the electric actuator goes bad but the door itself breaks sometimes.

I don't have a picture to show you the location but it should be easy to spot as all the other actuators are vacuum controlled.

Just a question: Did the new heater core fit OK or a real fuss to do that? It - those if/when aftermarket seem to try too hard to make OE shape properly - I haven't done that many in all time but plain foam that holds them/some I've done was lousy end up faking it if a last ditch for the vehicle or just scream at plastic junk that didn't behave or just doing it caused the problems?? Maybe? Is that in the cards with this?

I forgot to write that in the original post all blend door actuators are functioning properly and doors weren't broken when I had the heater box open to change the heater core.

There was foam on the original but none on the new one going in. Fit was a little loose and couldn't get original foam off so I added a little foam weatherstripping at the bottom, top and back to seal up the gap and snug it up in the slot.

I'll say ity again. If both heater hoses are hot, you have an air flow issue.
