With the engine at full operating temp, locate the 2 heater hoses where they go into the firewall and feel them to see if they are both hot to the touch. If they are both hot, the temperature is controlled by the use of an air mix door that is operated by an electric motor/actuator. This door can be jammed or the actuator can be inoperative or have stripped plastic gears internally. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

I don't know what kit your referring to but in order to replace the door itself, it requires removing the entire dash, then remove and disassemble entire HVAC housing. The electric actuator is a common failure too.

On www. heatertreater.net there is a replacement kit you can get that you can put in through the glove compartment, they say it only take a 1/2 hr. Mike

All that is is a repair kit for one that has shaft damage. You have no idea if that is even the issue with yours. If there is something wrong with the door itself, everything will have to come apart.
