My son's '91 Toyota Camry's AC quit working the other day. When you push the AC switch the compressor does not kick on and the green light on the switch does not come on. I replaced the switch with no change. The fuse is OK. There were no "dying compressor" noises prior to quitting. Any suggestions?

You are going to need to know where power gets to or doesn't. My favorite tool is a 12V test light and check the fuse with it too as they can look good but not! The LED for A/C being enabled might have failed so that alone isn't conclusive and should stop the system from working. So chase the power and start at either end -- compressor or fuse box. There should be a relay involved too and they can quit. Ok -- follow the power and then we can worry about the refrigerand charge if needed, T
