97 Cavalier Air Conditioning Sign In

Hi,

I have to replace some parts on a 97 Cavalier and need some help. I've never really done anything on an A/C system before so I'm pretty much clueless. As far as draining refridgerant, how do I do that? What kind of tools am I going to need to buy for the job? I don't need really specific information, I just want to get a general feel for the job. Thanks for the help.

Just what is it you are trying to do or fix. MVAC is an exacting science. There are things you can do. Bare minimum investment in tools 1-2 hundred$$ . You can rent many things. You don't drain A/C - you recover the refrigerant that's there if any first before you open it up,
