AC recharge question Sign In

Hi, I just replaced the ac compressor in my 2010 Nissan Altima (after filling it with oil). Everything's back together and looking good. My question is, can I drive the car down to the ac shop near our home and have them recharge the system - is it ok to drive it without first recharging the system? At this point, I would rather ask a dumb question than screw anything up. Any advice would be appreciated!
Great site by the way!

That will be no problem as long as the compressor doesn't engage. It should have auto shutoffs but I would unplug a switch or the compressor to be sure.
