More info about VW Beatle AC problems, I had car in shop to ck out engine light, they said it was secondary air and fixed that to the tune of $500.00, picked car up (no trouble with air at all before put in shop) drove for a week and then tried to use air , nothing but warm air, AC wouldn't come on, took back to shop they ck tyo make sure they hadn't left any wires loose, said air worked for them couldn't find a problem, so I went to pick it up, by the time I got there they said the air a quit working for them too and the ck engine light came on, said it was somrthing to do with fan controller would be another $750.00, so my husband said no we would take it home, he's pretty good about working on cars, so he' been working on it and he needs to know "What should pressure be on equalized system for it to work properly?" Thanks

The ambient pressures will vary with outside temperature and air contamination. You need a minimum of 50 PSI to engage the compressor. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
