Hi folks: I have a 2001 Ford Taurus SES. The fan that controls the AC, heater, defroster ONLY works on HIGH. Weird. I can't tell by the owner's manual what the story might be. Any help on this? Thanks!

More than likely it is the blower resistor. Usually it fails in the high default position. I believe it is located under the dash on the passenger side on the bottom of the heater box. Look to the center of the car. It should have a small wiring connection on it with 5 or 6 wires going to it. It is held in place with 3 small screws. Sorry, there are 2 small screws holding it in place. It probably has 4 wires. If you look under the passenger side and towards the center hump, you will see it. It is about 2 inches by 1 1/2 inches. Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds

Don't tell anyone, but it was somewhere around 1966. Been doing Fords since 1984. Lost a lot of the printed info on older Fords over the years, but have all the newer info, 1996 and up. Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds

As with the documents, I suspect you could handle most cars pre 96 from retained knowledge, and may need to look up a few repairs on the newer cars during repairs right?
