2003 Honda Civic LX The heater blower does not work. I took motor off and connected leads to battery and motor runs. I checked the blower fuse with a tester and check ok - even tried another (just in case) but still no go. Could it be possible this is related to the Air Conditioning system? Air compressor is not coming on. Need recharge??? or is the air compressor not coming on because the blower does not work? The "air on" light is lit on dash control panel.

Blower and charge amount are not connected to this problem. Try adding a ground jumper to motor, T

Thank you Tom, I tried grounding the motor, this caused the motor to run continously - no control, and can't turn it off. Did not solve the problem, but at least I can breath a little (Atlanta GA heat) and my windows won't fog up when it rains. Any other suggestions? I still don't understand why they both went out at exactly the same time (air cond and blower)

Now wild guessing! BCM (a body control module) or perhaps and easier issue with the blower resistor but very unsure about that. Help guys?? T

The speeds on this blower circuit are controlled on the ground side of the circuit by the "blower power transistor" which takes the place of the blower resister and is located right next to the blower motor. It can also be a bad control head but the transister is much more likely. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
