1990 Toyota 4 runner,I replaced the compressor and reciever/dryer on my 4-runner,my question is this.I didnt add oil to the compressor when I installed it,dumb I know. Can oil be added to the compressor thru the suction hose if I disconnect it from the reciever,a friend said you can. The system is R-12. Also where is the expansion valve for this car located?

Re: Toyota A/C Sign In

You must get some oil in compressor before start up!!!!! Input/return line may work and you spin the compressor by hand a couple dozen times before start up or it will near certainly be toast.

X valves and O tubes if you want to mess with them or need to are at evap usually,
