I have a 2003 Chevy Impala with 30000 miles on it in perfect condition.I am the original owner and have kept up on this car.My problem is when the ac is on it smells like a musty or moldy smell. When the heat is on there is nothing wrong it is just when the ac is on.Any suggestions???

That's not unusual. It's caused by bacteria that grows on the evaporator from the constant moisture. It's easy to get rid of if only you can get access to the evap itself. They make some kits that will work. One of them inserts a tube into the drain and temporarily fills the evap with foam that immediately drains. If you can get some spray Lysol directly on to the evap through drilling a hole, that works too. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
