charging air conditioner Sign In

I have a 2006 1500 serria p/u 5.3 Litre andhav 106.000 km I need to charge the air conditioner with 134a feaon just wondering if anyone can tell me what the PSi should be on the low port when full

It's not quite that simple. The pressure will vary greatly due to a large number of things included but not limited to Blower speed, ambient temperature, engine speed, cooling fan efficiency and condenser condition. The only accurate way to charge a system is to completely recover all the refrigerant, evacuate the system and charge it with the exact weighed specification of refrigerant.

Zackery! Read those procedures. Ask if they generate a question from that. First rule - you can't know how much charge is in a system unless filled from a vacuum as said. Other observations can indicate it's within range of norms and that's about all,
