?Will this switch to other vents like defrost? Also can you hear a change with requesting fresh air vs recric or max?

The ac vents are open and hot air comes out of them. nothing goes to the floor. Also changing the recirc to outside makes no difference at all. Do not hear anything when changing it back and forth. Hope this gives you some clue as to what is wrong.

Ok: This exact behavior isn't totally consistant but most vehicles use engine vacuum as the power to move the flaps in the heater box around. When that fails the setting usually defaults to defrost ducts only.

Look for a vacuum line, some look like wires instead of rubber hose, that goes into the car and for breaks in it. Some get burned or broken just doing something else as this is a bit too new for just age to get them.

Vehicles that use vacuum for ducts also use a reservoir for vacuum and check valve so ducts stay put when engine vacuum is not available. The line to that storage ball (GM has used a plastic ball in many models) if broken shuts the show down.

If these are electronic acutators this would not be the case and I can't understand why all selections don't work if an individual actuator which puts some suspision on the control head itself.

Does this car use digital settings and automatic temp control? Right now I hope not.

I don't have software for every car so I don't know how this one is set up. Perhaps someone does here. If not I can still help you with this thru another site,

T
