I have a 02 chevy astrovan and am having issues with the heater. for a while now on occasion when I turned on the heater no air blows out, after the van would run for a while the blower would kick on. for the past couple of days the blower is not comming on at all. I can place my hand up against on of the vents and feel a very light flow of hot air comming out. How do I determine what the problem is? And please be as specific as to the location of parts to be checked in the van. Thanks

Probably a problem with the blower motor itself. I think you can see the left side in this pic from underhood on passenger's side firewall area - check for voltage getting to it when requested to run. If yes - just give the body of it a whack with like the plastic end of a screwdriver or whatever and see if it kick on. If so it should be replaced unless you see something wrong with the wiring connections right there. I'm not sure but if you see heater hoses going right into the firewall of this vehicle the heater box is on the inside with a part looking just like that - still on passenger's side - same idea, T
