No, you just get a wood handle wire brush and run it in and out to break the rust off. You can try a breaker bar and pipe but you will have a hard time preventing the wheel from turning. Ah, so the dremel is overkill. I hardly ever use my regular wire brushes since I got it. I can get someone to hold the brakes for me, so if I can't get a temporary impact drill I'll resort to that. As far as I can tell, I think it requires a 32mm socket.

Unless you have a high capacity air compressor, you aren't going to get it off. You can also stick a bar in the rotor vent, prop the bar on the caliper bracket and with a breaker bar and long pipe, break the nut loose...

Tires fixed! or at least its straight enough that its no longer hitting the strut. I'd like to thank the Moderators for all their encouragement and helpful advice the past few weeks on this issue, couldn't have done it without you. For anyone else with similar issues I hope this thread become a valuable resource and save you some money. The type of repairs I performed here would have cost in my area anywhere from 1300 to 2400, parts and labor. As for the process, I wire brushed and lubed up a used knuckle to replace the old one. Had a really hard time separating the break disk from the knuckle assembly for both the new and old knuckle. The spindle nut was less hassle than I would have guessed. To stop the disk from rotating with the nut I stuck a small ratchet into the holes of the break disk and lay it against the caliper. Then I attached my 32mm socket to a 1/2" breaker bar and used a 1.5ft pipe for some leverage and loosened it with my foot. For the rest I just had to detach the old knuckle and hub from the axle and suspension, then replace and work in reverse. I had to use a set of small pliers and a vice to stop some of the bolts from rotating as I began to reattach them to the new knuckle. Once I replaced the regular tire I put my hand behind it to see if It was touching the strut and took it for a short drive around my neighborhood then checked again to feel any heat coming off the strut; cool each time. Only thing remaining is to get that control arm changed, but for now imma bask in a DIY job well done and rest. I'd have a beer about now if I had any , but I'll settle for some chilled scotch. Don't assume the arm is bent. Take it in for an alignment and ask him to inspect it first for any bent parts. If nothing is bent, go ahead and align it. Ha ha. Yeah, I figured getting it inspected would be my next best move, just glad that I got some of the most expensive work done myself. I'm just so spent from doing this repair from start to finish in one sitting.

Get the alignment - full job - 4 wheel all within spec. Other about axle nuts you said you used a pipe on a breaker bar. May work but not recommended by me. When or if lacking air/electric equivalent shock of torque to remove rather see you use just the breaker bar, impact socket exact (six point) and hit the end of the breaker with a heavy rubber hammer you are much less likely to break things. Stuck rotors to hubs. PB solvent first. At the risk or wrecking a rotor most if you strike rotor just so with hammer it should at least move off center then again the other side till it will pull off. Clean the rust of hub and face(s) of hub and inside rotor or putting it back on it may not set flush and alignment would be off like a ben wheel rim, T
