Hi there people, my wheels at rear have too much negative camber with clunking from rear over minor bumps. i have checked shocks and nothing is hitting the bump stops. does anyone know how difficult it is to replace bearings/bushes in the axle?? its one of those torsion types. car is 2005 citroen picasso with 270,000 miles ( 1 old lasy owner!!) the vehicle is immaculate so id like to sort the rear end. I see kits on ebay axle repair kits on ebay. but to be honest im not overly sure what i need. i am a ford man lol! and have reasonable competance at mechanics ie rebuilding engines etc on a basic level. any help would be so appreciated. Tris hi from the bonny banks of loch ness monster land!!

Unfortunately I don't think we are going to be a lot of help here. This site is US based, and all of our mods are in the US or Canada. So we've never seen this car nor do we have access to technical information for it. Hope you can find a shop manual or a forum in an area that does have this car.

Basics: Anything that moves and holds wheel in place should be checked for wear. Citroen gave up selling cars to N. America quite some time ago. I really don't know how the suspension is set up but worn or bent parts that cause that to be out of spec will cause tire wear. You would generally suspend vehicle by either body or lower ball joint/control arm and pry/feel/look for worn items. OMG: Last Citroen I worked on was a good friend's and had to be to do it. Le Citroen Deux Cheveaux (sp?) real name was the 2CV air cooled two cylinder! Yikes things were all different! This car exactly if it shows same colors too........ Say "hi" to "Nesse" for us, Tom

Quote ">>wonder why citroen gave up on america??<<" Many, many cars quit selling to US and Canada as the two countries do not allow cars without wild even unseen safety, emissions in spec. It is so costly to meet those specs it's about starting up a new car company to comply. Original VW bug could not make it thru ever increasing specs past the 1970s with that design but came out with others that did. Citroen, Renault, Fiat (back now) and more than I can count gave up. The version sold here new cost double or more and other places wouldn't pay that if not required. You can legally have these cars on the road state by state if over 25 model years old or if you dropped one on land from your yacht type thing for temporary use. N. American car makers didn't make cars for other places very much same as ones sold here. If nothing else didn't make right hand drive cars for places like you that drive on the wrong side of the road. So do we but depends on blood alcohol level - not funny. *********************** Back to your car. Find the bad parts, fix or replace and get it aligned up right. Get help as needed from shops that do it all the time. Smile, you folks around that lake and Nessie sure get a lot of attention for a creature nobody can prove exists! All in good fun, Tom

Hey! Don't mess with BigFoot aka a Sasquatch of course never captured but there are pictures......... Sells a lot of Halloween costumes at least Serious note: Do find what is causing the noise and the alignment to be off. Bet both are related and should be found and fixed. I want it right so when I come visit you can give me a tour looking for Nessie and I'll bring my cat and we'll find the critter :-) Have a great day. This was fun, Tom

I would like to check out things on your side of the pond sometime. I'm in Wisconsin, so have one of the great lakes separating me from Canada and its been pretty cold here. Air temp warmed up today to -9, which is about -23 C. Windchills have gone around -35 to -50 (-37 to -45 C) and plenty of people have had a hard time getting engines to start.

I have weather stations located around the hoosey and garden monitoring weathe, but i watch american weather a lot on gf models and internet, gee you had it rough! -29 is aboot our lowest but i saw windchills below -50 for you guys over there. one day i would love to visit oklahoma (sp?) and texas, Bigfoot! i watched documentary on that wee beastie last week, they always come out wi some explanation of polor bear's breeding wi brown bear's hundreds of year's ago, i firmly believe in the sasquatch!! (sp again??!!) leave the legend alone i say! my heart does go out to you all for that polor vortex that crippled you, down south your way are getting a wee cold snap to i think...och if ye get it often its no so bad but oot the blue is harsh on folk.
