I have a 96 Chevy Suburban. I want to pull the wheel and get it leather wrapped (I am in the leather business and wish to put a special leather on it), I cannot find an old used wheel to replace it with, while I get this done. Is there a simple wheel which would be compatible to put on for a couple weeks while I am having the original wheel wrapped? I know there is an airbag involved, but I could use a non A/B wheel (just driving on the ranch until the original wheel back) Thanks!

You could use any wheel you wanted as long at it fit. Without the inflater module the SIR light will be on. You also have to be careful because the clock spring has to rotate with the steering wheel. Why don't you get another steering wheel from a salvage yard and have that one wrapped? Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
