Replace front struts only?

Hi, I’ve got a 2013 VW Passat TDI “dieselgate” car with 70k miles. The car has been low maintenance so far. It was diagnosed with a broken strut mount and the mechanic it either needs a “Quickstrut” or a new set of regular struts. I’m thinking about upgrading to Bilstein B6 or comparable upfront. Can I do the front and not do the back suspension as well, or is that a bad idea? They say the back looks ok. Thanks.

You can change 2 at a time with no problem but I don't understand why you would want to spend all that extra money for pricey struts that won't change much of anything. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
