I drive a 1997 Ford F-53 v10. I've run into a problem that I'm curious if anyone has the answer to. I have an engine compartment that is, unfortunately, easy for people to access. As a result, someone has poured an alcoholic beverage into my steering fluid reservoir. This was not noticed until after the vehicle has been driven. I'll be draining and replacing the fluid, but I'm wondering what kind of damage the sugars could do to the seals or pump. Thanks!

It could have done a lot of damage. Alcohol eats rubber. Time will tell. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
