Hello so I just took my car to the nearby shop to have tie rod ends changed (brought my own parts). They said inner tie rod should also be changed (to be exact they changed it and told me after). Any how after i picked up the car i just drove home and everything felt good. But when i got out of the car i noticed what looked like oil or more like pitch leaking from between my wheels and the wheel hub (both sides). I’m taking the car back tomorrow but i would much appreciate some info as to whats might be the cause and did they possibly break anything or do something wrong to cause it. Yep, looks like the ripped the C/V boot in the process of changing the tie rod. They owe you a new C'V axle. Don't let them try to take a shortcut and use a split boot. They are junk. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
