This axle will not pop out! All loose, slips in & out till the catch- snap ring. Pryed on it, from above and below same time, pulled hair out, invented new dirty words and made small marks where pryed. Any help? BTW, car is in El Paso, I'm in Arkansas. Nephew's also a wrench and a good one making a good living at it.

I've had some real tough ones. Most of the time it takes a very large pry bar and a sharp "popping" action. What I found often works on the real hard ones is to get two prybars at the same time, opposite each other and that tends to keep the joint straighter and makes it come loose easier. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Thanks . He's past that point. Had a man up top and him below both prying. No resulkts. Has a snap on bar that allows you to hit it and gives a pry bar affect while other guy prys from opposite side. He's pretty desperate to call here for advice from TX.

The clip must be damaged and caught inn the splines. I'm afraid brut force is the only thing that is going to get it out now and it may do some damage in the process. The clip will eventually break.

Might need to get his hands on a CV axle remover, extension, and slide hammer to get it out. Beats cracking the case trying to pry the things out. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
