I partly agree with your tranny guy but if the throttle linkage were seized (which is very common) the trans would be acting up cold or warm. Dan. Canadian "EH"

Hello, my name is Jessica. I worked for Chrysler,Dodge,&Jeep for 3 years. There are many things that could be the problem. The can be one but, there are some others. The transmission is electronical. There are sensors that are located with the transmission. There is a transmission input and output sensor that could be causing it or it could be the speed sensor located on the back side of the transmission. The speed sensor in the transmission has a gears that is located onit that makes the speedometer work. Check all three of theses sensor. The one in the transmission runs any where from $40-$60 and the speed sensors run any where from $12-$20 bucks.

You gotta be kidding............ This thread is over 5 years old and the car probably qualifies for antique plates now.
