Hello people, new poster here so bear with me. I recently bought a 1994 Ford Thunderbird LX, 3.8 liter with approximately 100,000 miles on it. I would know exactly, but the odometer/tripmeter is not spinning. The speedometer works properly. I tried the inexpensive replacement route first by getting another instrument cluster from a salvage yard, but it still doesn't work. Same problem, speedo okay, odometer broken. It is reasonable to assume that the car it came out of was also broken, but maybe not. Thank you in advance for any assistance that is not hazardous to my wealth. Lou

Lou; As you, I'm independently healthy. LOL. Most speedo problems can be attributed to a VSS. (Vehicle speed sensor). The computer uses this input, not only for the speedometer, but for the transmission shifting, as well. Loren SW Washington
