1999 Dodge stratus stuck in limp mode (2nd gear and reverse) and the speedometer does not work. Also getting these 2 codes: P0731 - Gear 1 ratio incorrect P0700 - Transmission Control System malfunction Any ideas on what needs to be replaced, or has anyone else had this same exact problem and can tell me what to do? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

I will answer you on this site also. On the front of the transaxle, there are 2 speed sensors. One is the input speed sensor, the other is the output speed sensor. We usually change both of them to reduce the liklihood the other one will fail. They are not that expensive and fairly easy to change. Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds
