2000 Venture van shifting issues

I have a 2000 Chevrolet Venture Van. Originally, The trans. had an occasional, hard 1-2 shift, and hard 2-3 shift. It started happening more often, Now and then when it was in this hard shift mode, I could hear what sounded like low power steering coming from the tranny. I assume it was some sort of pump noise. So, I had the fluid flushed, cuz it was dirty, and it didn't change a thing, I had it flushed once at 75,000, and now at 150,000. so, foolish me, I put a bottle of some trans additive from Checkers, (and I know better), and it lasted about 10 miles before it totally puked. Wouldn't move at all. I picked up a used replacement with under 40,000 miles on it out of a 2000 Grand Prix. Interchange says it's the same, and I believe it is. Both are transmission code BRB. Now, with the new tranny installed, I'm back to square 1. I have a hard 1-2 shift, and a hard 2-3 shift. It mainly does it if I drive it at hiway speeds, then exit. I can bank on it shifting hard every time. I have had the codes read and erased several times. It keeps coming up with a code that says I am pulling too heavy of a trailer. I don't pull a trailer, nor is the van loaded down. It's just a grocery-getter.Any ideas where to go next? I'm at a loss here. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The wife drives it back and forth to work, and fixing this would make my life a LOT more simple. I bought the van brand new, and it's never had any accident damage, or anything like that. Thanx in advance for any advice with this. Rick
