I have a 2003 Lincoln ls 3.0 I just replaced the motor and now getting multiple observed codes for the transmission. Po755 po743 po760 po132 po750 po966 p2196. Before replacing the motor there was no transmission codes. The car has no power and doesn't want to go. My mechanic says a brand new transmission will fix the problem but I guess my question is does this sound right that I need a new transmission?

First off, why was the engine replaced? Did this vehicle have problems with the transmission before the engine replacement? Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

The car was basically doing the same thing had no power accelerating . I then took it to ford to have it diagnosed . There findings was a cylinder was shot and motor needed to be replaced which I replaced but now the motor is good and the car still doesn't want to go while put in drive .

well the problem that is going on is my mechanic told me to come down and check the car out with Him and the cars rpm will go up to 3000 rpm before the car moves throwing all these codes for the transmission and when it was at the Ford dealership it never threw anything that I know of and they reported that the transmission looks fine so I was wondering what could possibly make it thro all These codes and do I need to change the transmission

All those codes except for two are all solenoid circuit codes. Have they checked to make sure that all the solenoids in the transmission are getting power? Seems more of an electrical problem with the transmission than a mechanical one requiring replacement. If those solenoids are missing power or aren't being commanded by the PCM, the transmission will default. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

Your mechanic should have access to that information. If your mechanic doesn't know how to diagnose transmission electrical trouble codes, he shouldn't be recommending a transmission replacement. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

Hello I just did another observed test on the car and pulled 14 codes . If you would like me post the codes I will.

Maybe it might be a good idea to take it to a shop that does driveability and electrical work. 14 codes means there is something electrically wrong. Someone is going to have to figure out exactly what is going on with that. We can't sit here and rationalize 14 codes and why they are popping up and give you an accurate diagnosis without being there to do tests. You probably don't have the equipment to make these checks, so hopefully you can find someone that can without recommending things it might not need. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
