I have a 2005 Chrysler Sebring Touring Edition 2.7 with approx. 130,000 miles automatic transmission. Everything has been running in tip top shape until today. I was changing the front struts with not much problem, however after I was done and ready to go to work I shifted into reverse and the car made a whirring sound and would not go in reverse. I then tried to put it in drive to go back up my driveway and again the same whirring with no forward motion. I then tried to put it in park to keep the car from rolling backwards and noticed abruptly that park did not engage. I tried all the gears and it makes the whirring sound in every gear except park and neutral. Within the last couple weeks I have changed all fluids, radiator, engine oil, tranny oil with no problems until today after I replaced the struts. Any ideas?

Sounds like you either don't have one of the axles fully engaged into the transmission or pulled one of the C/V joints apart. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
