2005 Sierra 4wd Shifting Sign In

Is it possible to install encoder motor in transfer case wrong? I installed a new encoder motor but will not operate in 4wd low and 4wd high. It will run in 4wd auto and 2wd. If it is installed wrong, how do I fix it?
Truck and a new button selection switch and new transfer case control module.

Sounds like you just threw a bunch of parts at it and never actually diagnosed the problem.

Did you try to pull codes from the TCM?

Yes it can go be installed wrong - TC in N and Encoder indexed
what were the codes that had you R&R encoder ?
what are the current codes? All codes as a seemingly unrelated code may be root issue.
As colleague mentioned these are not the often seen P series but "C" codes and a few "B" type.
