These are occasional things that only a motor head would notice . Early down shift from 4th when slowing down and 4th hits kind of early for my liking . Also a little slip from dead stop going from 1st to 2nd . Fluid nice and pink at good level and only honda OEM ATF . Any thoughts , remedies or harsh realities ? Thanks .

I'm sure Gary will stop by eventually but the slip on the 1-2 shift sounds ominous.

There's a small tranny fluid leak , even a little low seemed to effect things . For a while the level was steady . . It's going to the shop on Wed. I was under there and couldn't pin point it and don't want to say what I think it is .

At operating temp. engine off it read at the top of the hatch marks , On the money . I started it up and it read a little higher the old way . So I guess it was a little low on those back roads but even at a proper level you can get kind of an abrupt down shift and I would rally on some roads to avoid hitting 4th gear

I told the desk to check for tranny codes but not sure if the mechanic ( mike ) got the message , I mentioned it when talked to him and he asked if there was a CEL on the dash . I didn't think a tranny code would show there . At any rate the tranny line to the radiator leaks and may not get it from honda till next week , the radiator leaks too so I told them to take care of it . I think they're very busy so I 'll wait till they get back to me .

The car repairs were done and we went to pick it up fri. night . I asked mike if the tranny was scanned for codes and he wasn't sure if " Phil " had done that so we asked phil if he scanned the tranny for codes and he said " There weren't any , I would have seen them " which isn't really a direct answer to what I was asking but it's a holiday weekend and they seemed more than ready to go home so I didn't press it. They said there's a filter that got replaced along with the tranny coolant lines so I shall see how it drives next time I'm out . Merry Christmas

I went for a short ride for and it seems more responsive on the entry ramp but I can't tell for sure till I get on the back roads

I'm going to say there's an improvement since the lines were replaced , If it's still noticeable I'll just drive faster . Thanks again .
