While beginning to slow for stop sign I tried to push in clutch to downshift and felt a jerk. After coming to a stop, I could no longer get it in gear. The pedal is very weak. If I start it in gear, it will not come out of gear and I can only move the pedal about 1/2 inch up before the clutch is engaging. I have checked for fluid leaks and see none. The release bearing is not making any noise.

You have a problem with the hydraulic system, probably out of fluid and sucked in air. Check the fluid level at the clutch master and look for the leak again. It will be only a small amount of fluid, probably a very small oil stain at either the clutch master or slave cylinder. Look inside the dust boot of the slave. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
